September 14, 2010 – “Survivorship: What you need to know”. Part of a series of Magee-Womens Hospital’s LiveWell Survivorship Workshops to be held from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Radisson in Greentree. Experts will help women’s cancer survivors explore next steps after treatment with conversations focusing on wellness, surveillance testing, recurrence, reconstruction, and hysterectomies, as well as a panel of survivors who will share their experiences. Please join a Glimmer of Hope Foundation at the Womens Health & Fitness Expo event on September 28, 2010, and the Breast Cancer Symposium on October 12, 2010. Both events will be held at the Passavant Hospital Foundation Conference Center and Legacy Theatre. (located on the UPMC Passavant McCandless campus) The Breast Cancer Symposium is being offered in partnership with Passavant Hospital Foundation and UPMC Cancer Center and Breast Center at Passavant. We will have a table at both events to distribute literature. We will also have our line of jewelry with proceeds benefiting research to further breast cancer research in pre-menopausal women.

Fashion Week!
Please join A Glimmer of Hope to celebrate Fashion week at the Ramada Inn in Greentree Friday, October 1st, and Saturday, October 2nd "Fashion Avenue" at the Ramada Inn in Greentree. Please come and see all our exciting items with proceeds benefiting the under 40 study.
Oxford Athletic Club Members and Employees will be joining hands and hearts to raise money for the Glimmer of Hope on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Participants in all of the Group Fitness and Spinning classes that day will have the opportunity to bring a donation. Participants will be eligible for raffles at the end of each class. Oxford Athletic Club's goal is to beat their 2009 member/employee donation of $1200 for the one day event.
Various gift baskets will also be auctioned off. Baskets will include Glimmer of Hope items, Personal Training and Nutrition sessions from the Oxford Athletic Club, and Salon services from Izzazu Salon and Spa.
